First chapter intrigues as it begins inside a toad's head. Metamorphosis later, the protagonist emerges out of a seven year marshland curse. This beginning is actually the middle story of a young, talented Vine Witch, one who sees beyond the normal scope of people to enhance nurturing vineyards. How this young girl proceeds from her predicament is the story that eventually reveals all.
Luanne G. Smith creates a wonderful story in writing The Vine Witch. Imagination and a different twist on the genre of witches, magic, and the supernatural allow readers to escape into this fictional realm. Audible affords this listener the opportunity to continue mundane tasks, while wearing headphones, and coexist in another world through different characters. The writing transports, the narration entertains while there.
